Ended up tweaking more colors. This is right after spray finish was applied.
Thought all of the colors were set and began layering on color to create density.
Coloring in the 8th ring with color.
Continued to tweak colors.
Was using white as “purity” and then off white as a stand in as the rings emanated outward. But it didn’t feel right and I changed to light yellow.
Decided the inner monochromatic rings weren’t working as I wanted so filled them in with color.
Continued adding second coat.
Began adding second coat.
Added a solid ring to create a boundary.
Removed 9th ring. Played with idea of 3rd, 5th, and 8th rings being monochromatic.
And another ring added.
Another ring of color added.
Continued with new color scheme.
Felt there were too many colors and tried simplifying. Added monochromatic ring to break up color.
Adding more color.
Continued adding color.
Added a wash and began laying in colors.
Added color to see what patterns emerged.
